SwiftGeo ("we," "us," or "our") operates swiftgeo.io (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use SwiftGeo at swiftgeo.io (the "Service"). We built this product to be straightforward, and our privacy practices follow the same standard.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store plaintext passwords.
Business profile data: During onboarding, you provide details about your business — name, website URL, industry, service area, brand descriptions, and target queries. This data is used exclusively to generate your GEO profile and citation content.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or banking details. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status only.
Usage data: We collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use Google Analytics (GA4) for aggregate traffic analysis.
Scan data: We scan your website and competitor URLs using the Perplexity API to generate citation scores. Scan results are stored in your account and used to power your dashboard.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your business profile data to train AI models. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days before deletion, giving you time to export anything you need. Scan logs are retained for 12 months. You can request immediate deletion by emailing Loading....
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data is transmitted over TLS. Our infrastructure runs on DigitalOcean managed databases with private networking. We use JWT tokens with short expiration windows for authentication. See our Security page for a full breakdown.

We use localStorage (not cookies) for authentication tokens. Google Analytics uses cookies for aggregate visitor tracking. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
